Prior to joining Risk Capital Partners in 2009, Michael was a Partner at Bowmark Capital for four years, primarily focusing on IT services investments. Before that, Michael was an Investment Director with LDC, the private equity arm of the Lloyds Banking Group, where he completed seven investments in six years covering the leisure, media, business services, financial services and IT services sectors. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Corporate Finance, Lead Advisory team. He has a first class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Reading University and is an Associate of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
His previous investments include the successful buyouts of comdirect, the online share dealing company, Spearhead, a trade exhibitions group, Datix, a leading risk-management software business in the healthcare sector and Vue Cinemas. At Risk Capital Partners he co-led the buyout of DWS Bodyworks, of which he is a Director and the buyout of The Bread Factory and GAIL's, of which he is also a Director.
