Luke Johnson
Luke studied medicine at Oxford and subsequently joined investment bank Kleinwort Benson as an analyst. In 1992 he organised the acquisition of PizzaExpress and floated the business on the stock market at 40p. He was Chairman of this business until 1999, at which time the share price was over 800p and the business had a market capitalisation of over £500 million.
Luke is involved with all the portfolio companies and is also Chairman of Channel 4 Television Corporation. Previously he was Chairman of Signature Restaurants and a Director of IDH.
Ben Redmond
Ben qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1995 before working on a range of disposals, MBO's and MBI's at Grant Thornton Corporate Finance. Ben has worked with Luke since 2000.
Ben is on the Boards of Giraffe, GRA, Tile Depot and APT Controls. Previously he was a director of Loewy Group.
Bobby Hashemi
Bobby joined Risk Capital Partners in March 2007. He started his finance career as an investment banker in mergers & acquisitions at Lehman Brothers, New York. He was then founder and Chairman of Coffee Republic Plc, a leading UK coffee bar chain which he floated on the stock market. He has co-authored “Anyone Can Do it”, a bestselling entrepreneurship book that reached No.1 in the Amazon UK business book chart. Bobby has an MBA from Amos Tuck School of Dartmouth College, and a BSc in Computer Engineering.
Louise Brown
Louise joined Risk Capital Partners in 2008 from Ernst & Young, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. During her time at Ernst & Young Louise worked with mid-market companies across a range of sectors, initially as part of their assurance services team and later in their mergers and acquisitions lead advisory team in London where she advised a number of trade, private equity and management shareholders on various transactions.
